The soccer game was really exciting. The boys played against the University of Tampa. Tampa is one of their rivalries so I was excited to see how it would turn out. They ended up winning 3-0. What I observed is that Rollins Students have a lot of school spirit. They all seemed excited and cheered really loud. This showed me how going to events like the soccer game creates community. It was a lot of fun and I really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThe soccer game started a bit slow but nearing the end of the first half, Rollins Soccer really picked up their game. Initially it seemed like some of the players wanted to keep the ball to themselves but the moment that they started passing the ball more, the goals began to come in. Through this teamwork and selflessness Rollins was able to pull out ahead and win the match.
ReplyDeleteThe soccer game on Tuesday was fun, I'm glad I went. Our class sat pretty much together so it was fun to all hang out. The team played against the University of Tampa. When i heard this I thought we'd have no chance since it was a big school. But Rollins ended up winning 3-0. Yay! The crowd was very upbeat and cheering loudly, it was fun to be involved with so much team spirit. I learned how much school pride our school really has. Soccer games seem to be a big deal around here, and it motivated me to come to them more often. Now that we've won, I'm sure Rollins's pride will only grow more and more.
ReplyDeleteFor this event we attended the mens soccer match at Rollins College. We were competing against the University Of Tampa, which actually is the college I almost wound up at. Rollins and the University of Tampa are rivals so I knew we were in for a good game. Not only did we compete against the University of Tampa, but we destroyed them 3-0. The mens Rollins Soccer team thrives on accurate and thoughtful passing techniques. They have superior foot skills, and blatant chemistry with one another on the field. I learned, by attending this match, that Rollins College has a massive amount of school spirit. The game was loud and exciting! Cheers were chanted repeatedly and the crowd went crazy with each of the three goals were scored. Overall this was a great experience for me. I have played soccer since I was four years old, and watching this game really made me miss having time to play the sport I love. I will definately be attending another match in the near future!

ReplyDeleteSince I played soccer for my whole life, I love going to the games here. Its really interesting to see the difference in play from high school to college They are a lot faster in their passing and ball control. I was also surprised to find out that since there isn't a football team for Rollins, that everyone goes to soccer games. Unfortunately, coming from a place were everyone “paints up” and you lose your voice from screaming, the spirit here is almost non-existent. On the flip side, I was really happy that we were able to put three goals in before halftime and win. The game really provided a way to hang out with our RCC class more in a social setting and not for class. Watching soccer made me really look forward to other sporting events at our school because this game will defiantly no be the last one I attend.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed going to this soccer game because I have never really been a big fan of sports because I don’t know how to play them! So whenever I watch them I have no idea what’s going on, but this time my classmates actually told me what was happening and it was nice to see our team score points! I loved that we were able to use this time to bond as a class since we’re mainly drawing during in class and don’t have a lot of time to talk to each other. It was nice to see everyone in a social setting and I noticed that everyone was rooting for our team to win! The game itself was very interesting and I loved seeing our team score goals. I never realized sports players were violent on the field because there was one incident where a Tampa player hurt one of our players which caused a foul but in the end our player was okay!
ReplyDeleteThe soccer game was a great community gathering. It was a nice way of getting to know my fellow classmates while enjoying some school spirit with the rest of the college. At first the soccer game appeared to be moving at a slow past, but it eventually picked up as we scored our first goal. It still amazes me how good our team is since I was always the player who would trip just trying to kick the ball let alone run while kicking it.
ReplyDeleteThe boys soccer team played one of their biggest rivals, The University of Tampa on Tuesday. Although the game started off slow and they didn’t score many goals until the second half. Rollins is very school spirited and as a result it helped the players pick it up and put all their effort into winning the game. It was interesting to see all the spirit and cheering that I usually see for football games for a soccer game which isn’t as popular where Im from. In the end Rollins won 3-0 and it was a great game to watch while socializing with our RCC class!
ReplyDeleteI got to the soccer game right before it started and had time to find the class before kickoff. Watching them prepare to play reminded me of my sports days in high school and the rush you get right before the start. The team played pretty well and I saw all three of the game’s goals which occurred in the first half. This is the only college soccer game I have ever been to and it was way more exciting then I thought it would be. This was also my first Rollins sports event and it was a positive one. Since then I have gone to the girl’s volleyball game and watched them win a tight game against Eckerd. I enjoy doing things with our RCC class and I’m glad that we have a program here that forces us to experience Rollins in ways that we probably wouldn’t if we were not in this class.
ReplyDeleteThe soccer game was super exciting and definitely held my attention. The boys played a great game and showed so many aspects of teamwork. I think the team played so great because of how well they worked together and really played as a team. The team being so enthusiastic about the game made the viewers more excited about the game as well. The game created a great environment and sense of community on the Rollins campus. This was the first game i have been to but due to the intensity and great school spirit i want to go to more in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThis was definitely an exciting game to watch. I heard the UT was one of their big rivals so it was a lot of fun to watch the game with the class. There were a lot of people there and every one had great school spirit. The soccer game was a great time because after each score Rollins scored, the crowd would go crazy. I was very happy that Rollins won the game especially because one of my good friends goes to UT so it was good to be on the winning side. The best part is that you could really tell that Rollins is one big family, there were so many students supporting the event which was really great.
